Immunity Throughout the Cold and Flu Season

In this lecture event, you’ll learn the factors that may be supporting or disruption your immune system and how to reduce your chances of getting a cold or flu. From refined sugar cutting phagocyte activity to NSAIDs weakening your first line of immune defense, we’ll cover all the nutrition and lifestyle basics. We’ll also talk about what you could do during the flu to reduce your sick time and fight it off faster! When might you suppress the body’s immune methods and when to let it work it’s magic (when you could let the fever ride and when you could break it).
This class will focus on nutrition and lifestyle but will also provide some clinical uses of herbs to prepare for cold and flu season. Some herbs have been popularly used during colds when they’re best as a preventative and in fact contraindicated during a cold.
At the end you’ll get a Quick Tip list that provides supplements, simple lifestyle changes, and herbs that will help you begin your immune support or fight off your cold/flu.
